Being an active mother of 4, it is hard to have time to think about what goes in my mouth. Busy times, all the time. A quick meal here, a snack there, juice and fast food. All of the sudden I was way heavier than I wanted to be. Going to the gym 3 - 6 days a week was not helping because all I wanted to do was lift weights without the cardio and I continued to eat the way I was before. Cardio is so boring and I didn't think I had the time to change my diet. My new idea is to count my calories so that I'm aware of what I take in as well as going to the gym.

I have the power to lose weight and keep it off!!

8/12/13 UPDATE: I lost it, but have now found it again! This time I don't have near as much to lose, but way less time to work at it. I'm ready to get back down to my goal weight and stay there. Football season is the worst time to do this with two boys playing and me being the team liaison, but if I can manage weight loss now, then I can keep it off for good.

Confused, low calorie, low carb??
Just a bit confusing I know, but here is the deal: You do what works for your weight loss. Some people lose on a low cal diet where other people lose better on a low carb diet. Journal for a while and see which is higher in what you normally take in. Reduce one or the other for a week and see what results you get. Then do the other for a week. Whichever gives you the best results go back to.
Just don't forget to exersice, everyday! (At least 15 - 30 minutes.)
Good Luck!
