My parents are both over 6ft and have a slim frame, so my small size was pretty inevitable really. I've never been happy with it though. At school people would ask if I had an eating disorder because of my small build and I was ashamed to get my legs out in public because they were so long and gangly!
I am 5'9" tall and look skinny. This doesn't mean I'm healthy though, and in the last 2 years I have developed a bit of a flabby belly and suffer with constant bloating!
I joined fatsecret after a trip to the doctors made me realise I did no exercise at all, and hadn't done any for the last 3 years. Sure I do daily activities but I never push myself, or do anything strenuous.
At the beginning of August 2010 I committed myself to the gym, and have been every other day since. I have cut out a lot of crap from my diet, tried to replace unhealthy snacks with fruit, and have started eating breakfast as part of my daily routine. Since doing this, my bloated stomach is gone and I can see changes with my tummy already! I feel on top of the world! I have so much energy!
