Soon-to-be 28 year-old awesome mother of 2 boys. Yeah, I'm awesome. After my 2nd child, my body shut down and I got very sick internally. For whatever reason, my metabolism wouldn't burn any calories. I was able to lose 80 lbs in 3 months in 2005 after very ridiculous exercise routines. Gym for 4 hours every day, cardio for 2 hours every night. Hundreds upon hundreds of sit-ups before going to sleep and the first thing every morning. Seriously ridiculous. No one can live like that or keep up that routine forever.
I've kept the weight off, but haven't lost any more. My doctor, who is super wonderful, has tracked me for the past 2 years and is flabbergasted that I haven't lost a single pound no matter what he has put me through. So, I'm documenting everything online, going back to being a flexitarian, and training for a 5K that takes place in December. Actually, training for a 10K but the ultimate goal being to finish a 5K. I had to purchase a new phone that was compatible with GPS apps that track me everywhere I go, and then I found this awesome app that has practically every food out there. I am putting over 100% of myself into this program.
My youngest has a birthday in January and his only wish is that I look like I used to. Well, kid, this journey is for you.
