Hi, I am 41years old and from the UK. I love Metal music and going to gigs.
After 20 years of smoking I quit over 2 years ago, and have found it harder to lose weight since then.
The diet I was following was Weight Watchers, which I have always done as it used to work at first. I just found it too difficult to stick to the points !!
I am 5' 7", and my ideal weight is 9 stone 9 lb (135 lb), every year is the same. I lose weight for my annual holiday abroad in October, then I get back and just eat and eat until January, put loads of weight on, then start dieting again. I need to stop this cycle of dieting.
With regards to exercise, I love doing weights but I cant do them anymore as I've got a very painful back and arm. I have recently bought a treadmill, and I love it. I've just started a traing programme to eventually run 5k (March 2013). Eventually I want to enter a proper 5k competition, against other people !! :-)

I started counting calories instead of Weight Watchers points 18th March 2013 - weight was 11 stone 10.75 (164.75lb)
It seems to be working so far :-)
2013 Start weight in January = 163 lb. My mini goals are :-
1) 10 stone 13 lb (153 lb) by 3rd June - ***** Achieved 20th MAY 2013 *****
2) 10 stone 3 lb (143 lb) by 12th August
3) 9 stone 13 lb (139 lb) by 30th September (for my holiday !)
4) Maintain between 140 and 147 lb max (need to stop yoyo'ing) and putting the same 20lb on every year
