Not as good this month, but still losing. More travel for work than usual and much was to small towns that literally had a single place to eat. If I have to go back to that customer, I'm going to have to bring food.

Transitioned from whole foods to whole foods with a leaning towards SANE foods. (See the great book "The Calorie Myth" for details.) As the subtitle of the book promises... I've been eating more and exercising less and still losing weight.
To be fair, the goal of SANE eating isn't quite weight loss. It is to fix your metabolism and your body's hormonal balance. But weight loss is pretty much a side-effect of that.

Quite a few business lunches. I'm sure that is the biggest issue keeping my loss slower.
Lately though, if customer wants to go out for lunch, I try to steer towards a local Chinese buffet where I take mostly veggies and meat with about 1/2 the rice i used to. Also only one plateful instead of 2-3.

For those who have asked...
We started on a whole-foods diet in May. Since then I've lost 32 lbs. My wife had lost 30 as of about 20 days ago. (She is only weighing in at the Dr. office monthly... and won't cheat and weigh in at home.)
Basically, we are trying to stick to foods with natural unprocessed ingredients (or as slightly processed as possible.) Ingredients have to be something you could find before industrial food making (no HFCS) and has to be close to its original state.
That means honey and maple syrup are OK as sweeteners. Brown rice and real whole wheat are OK. White sugar (highly chemically treated and processed), white rice and white flour are not (both have most of their nutritious bits removed.)
Our diet has included a lot of pasta dishes, stir fries, egg salad, burritos, and a bunch of other things I never thought of as "diet" food. When I said it doesn't feel like I'm on a diet, I was serious.
The only difficult part has been that we have really had to start cooking nearly all of our meals with very little eating out (very occasional Subway sub and bi-weekly "cheat" days being the main exceptions.) It is also challenging to find good whole-food options when eating with others from work. Low carb... yep, those are on many menus. Low fat... that too. Real foods like the kind you SHOULD be eating... not quite as easy to find at your typical grab-and-go lunch stop.
On the other hand, we're quickly becoming much better cooks. Some dishes are flops, but some are amazing. It is getting to the point that we are more daring with spices and herbs and flavor. (You have to make up for the fat, salt and sugar somehow.)
We're even starting to be less enthused about the "cheat meal/day" every other week. We are finding ourselves saying things like, "I'd rather have had our fresh bruschetta than that."
My wife started a blog a bit before we started actually following the new diet. If you'd like more details on how things are going, some of our recipes, etc. you should check out
