Well friends, I did it. I started a Yahoo Group and you are all welcome to join. You will need to develop a Yahoo ID and then pop on over. The description you will find when you get there is as follows:

"This group is dedicated to all of the heart warming, hard working souls of the famously brilliant web site FatSecret.

We know who we are and where we want to be. Grab your favorite beverage, put your feet up and grab yourself a hearty dose of motivation and companionship. We're all in this together!"

I will have all the bells and whistles available including links, files, polls, photos, the works. For those of you who are not familiar with Yahoo Groups the main purpose is to have a quick and easy way to communicate by email. You send an email to The Group and all subscribers receive the email. This is not designed to take place of the FatSecret interface; only to enhance it.

Hope to see you there!

Love,
PishPosh ...and who is PishPosh? I have been married for 31 years to a great guy. I have three grown children, three barn cats, three horses and two toy poodles. I have struggled with my weight after having my third child. I was succuessful up until about 45 years old. Then I found myself using food as 'get well soon' remedy whenever I felt bad.

A series of events in a very short time period triggered a "That's enough! I'm going to lose the weight!"

"Would it not be better to weight 110 pounds and look like you weight 95 pounds?" This quote from Pixidaisy is so on the money I can't stand it. It needs to be entered in the contest for 'best post' or something similar. My point has been made.

You all rock. Every single one of you, no matter where you are at.

Love, PishPosh

PS We are all in this together.

Please suggest a routine exercise
I gleaned what works for me from Power 90. It takes ten minutes and then I'm done. The weight loss says it all.

3 neck rolls
3 shoulder roll both directions
120 simultaneous knee raises/arm raises
1000 steps of 'x' work (jogging in place)
40 sets of 'fighters' arm punching
20 leg kicks out front and out to the side from the hip both legs

after ten minutes finish with 2 minute gentle movement cool down.

WW healthy Guidelines, power foods and activity points
I am a very independent sort so am not needing anything more structured than what is offered here at FatSecret. I find my own journaling and weigh-ins are all I need. I developed my own diet by reading and implementing the GenoType Diet. Then I add a weekly Spyke and have lost 32 pounds of fat, not water or muscle since April 1. And it's still coming off.

That is my suggestion. Hope it helps.

HELP!!!!!
Thanks to you, I zipped on over (I zip now, since my twenty pound weight loss - gosh it feels good) to WebMD and got my personalized Diet Plan. Pretty good if I don't say so myself. One thing for sure, it encouraged me to go out there and ride a second horse this evening.
And friends...just the fact that I'm riding again is pure heaven. Hard work getting them all brushed, tacked and ready but it is wonderful.

Love,

Wish Fatsecret had a "Like" button similar to Facebook

I just joined a few days ago and so love reading what others post (journal or open posts) and while I don't always have a comment to add I wish there was a "Like" button so that we could leave an indication of encouragement.
