I am a 26 year old part time student, working full time typing. I sit at a desk and type all day and so I have to get excercise in after work. I'm taking classes to get my degree in Criminal Justice. I took the written test to be a police officer and I need to get in shape and pass the physical agility test.

This isn't just about me losing weight or looking better in a bathing suit. I am trying to work out 4-6 times a week and get in a habit of eating and living a more healthy lifestyle.

same food all the time = boring!
does anyone have any recipe ideas to share? im getting sick of eating corn and cauliflower all the time!! Confused

First of all, you should definitely try to take a multi vitamin every day, and if you're worried about your iron levels, there are iron pills you can take or vitamins with extra iron in them. Myself, I hate the smell of vitamins so I eat the Flinstone's Chewable vitamins with iron (two per day) and that gets me most of my vitamins. Second of all, the lightheadedness gets me sometimes, I'm eating less (but I'm hungry less). Try eating some fruits with sugars in them, the sugars in fruits are better than processed sugars and they taste great. Red grapes are in season right now and practically taste like candy. I have friends who even freeze them and then eat them as treats. Also try apples, pineapples, peaches, etc. Often for lunch I'll just make myself a fruit smoothie with some non-fat yogurt, ice cubes, and whatever fruits I want to throw in there. Its delicious and filling and doesn't make me feel like I'm on a restricted diet. Hope that helps!
