I'm 26, a full time nursing student, and work during the week. I make good decisions on food most of the time but I eat too much. I always feel like I'm hungry, so I'm trying to eat heathier. It's different if you eat a plate of green beans compared to a plate of alfredo. I need to learn proper portion control and how to lower calories. I also exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes. I would like to expand this. Last summer I trained for a 300 mile bike ride in 3 days and completed that task! I was riding 5 to 6 hours a day but with work and school I can not do that at this time. I just bought a treadmill though and I am hoping I can fit in more time in and just stay disciplined. Whoa! Wish me luck! :) If you have any advice send me a message, anything is helpful!

Couch to 5k Running
I just read this post and this is funny, because I finally just got myself to run a 5k this morning! I had to stop one time to walk for a minute but this was only the second 5k I have ever ran in. I am running 12 min/miles per my time..but considering I couldn't even tell you the last time I tried to run a full miles since the 8th grade I think that is not too bad. When I finished today I felt great! I felt the need to do it again, and the need to improve. I never thought I would finish something like this, let alone sign up. It feels amazing! It doesn't matter who you are, what size you are, you can push yourself to sign up and walk or run a race you will get better and better and it will give you something to really train for and get ready for...and then try agian to always improve. You meet people too!Can't wait to do it again! Smile
