I am a 42 yr old woman living in the midwest. I have battled my weight forever. I was thin between 13 and 19 - once I had my own money and was in charge of what i ate, the weight started creeping up. I hit my heaviest 6-7 yrs ago (315) and got scared i was going to have a heart attack and die. I tried a reduced carb diet, mostly because my friend had developed typeII diabetes. Not very succesful until I embraced a different motivation. I ate and excercised extreme and lost 87 lbs in 6 months. While on a plateau, i lost my motivation, fell off the wagon in a chinese restaraunt on my birthday and never got back on. I gained the weight back over the next few years and have tetered around 300 ever since. I know how to lose weight and a time or two i've lost 20 - 40 lbs but it always finds me again. I feel that i have been only addressing the symptom and not the disease. I know this time i will be successful over the long run. Partly because I know that what I'm doing is forever and it IS a long run and partly because I'm aware that being fat is about a lot more than just eating too much.

Soggy, Soft & Squishy!
I had one c-cut, I've not seen it, it's buried under my fat roll. I thought about doing all the fix it up surgery when I lose the weight but at the rate i'm going, it might not work out. Seems to me kinda of silly to finally get sexy and be too old to play... Smile

I think the toning would be great no matter what is covering it up.

I never really noticed before but you're right, i don't see my own picture. I guess it figures you know who you are.

3022 calories
I checked the RDI thing this morning and the most aggressive weight loss goal was 1 lb a week so it is giving you what you need to maintain your current weight less 500 calories. I put mine at a sedentary lifestyle (mainly because activity measurement is subjective) and its giving me 2100 a day to lose 1 lb a week.

Vitamins
I'm thinking if you have to take certain vitamins for other health reasons, like the anemia or immune issues, that comes first, then the weight loss. then monitor these areas - get your iron levels checked - and if you find it creeping up, you can back off the supplements. For people who have a low tolerence for carbs, you may find some health issues clearing up with your new lifestyle. It's an interesting comparison to get bloodwork done after a good six weeks of a low carb lifestyle. I was first exposed to the idea while researching hormone issues.
