My fatsecret app request idea
First I would like to say I love my fatsecret app on my Windows Phone. So very helpful in keeping track of my diet program.
However, I do have a request that would be a great additive to this application. If there was section where a user could select different foods to build a receipt. For example, say I wanted a tuna sandwich for lunch. I could go to this section. Find all the ingredients that goes into completing that sandwich with all the information I need to stay within my daily calorie intake. Then I could save it for future or tomorrows lunch menu. It would save time! All I would have to do is pull up that tuna sandwich menu with all the items already selected and add it to either my lunch or dinner section.
Anyway.. just an idea..
I have lost 28 lbs in the last two months.
Good Luck with your diet!

Weight loss
This is my first post on fatsecret.com since I began my diet on November 1st, last month. May I say, I have lost 26 lbs. in just a month and a half. Some may say, that good, some may say, I probably could be doing better. I have only been dieting with a commitment of only 1500 kcals per day. I use my Windows Phone application to keep track. It has really helped me.
I realize weight loss can be tough. I have been over weight for a long time too. I currently weight in at 251 lbs. where I should weight around 180 lbs. or so. So, that's my commitment and my goal of reaching that correct weight for me.
I started out first making a commitment to this. I set my goal by making sure, according to my weight, height, and age, what I am suppose to be weighting. I then checked with my doctor to make sure that my decision was on the right path. It's all about commitment and setting your goals. I have to want it bad enough. And I do! I want to be able to bend over and put on my shoes and tie my shoes without any pain or discomfort. I want my pants to easily button when I put on my jeans without wondering whether or not they will button today or not. Most importantly, I want to feel good about myself and my appearance to those around me. I am tired of being the fat man at the party.
I have about 71 more pounds to go. Even though it is a slow process and I realize that if I exercised more, the weight would come off quicker. And I mostly will start walking or jogging or even do some weight lifting to get my muscles back in shape. But, that's a few months away. For now, I am learning how to eat right. I have to stay positive and keep my goals in focus.
One other thing that I would like to say is, I want the weight to stay off as well. I hear so much about people who lost all kinds of weight only to gain it all back. Not me! With learning how to eat the right foods and learning to how to eat food portions right, I plan on staying on track.
I know this plan works. A friend of mine who at one time did weight as I do if not more, had lost 98 lbs. doing just this fatsecret.com plan. I saw his before pictures and may I say, he looked totally different. What an inspiration for me to see and talk to someone who made the difference first hand. He told what he did and how to do it.
He basically said, you can eat anything you want starting out, only it must be below 1500 kcals. So that's what I am doing.
I hope this helps.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes!

PS: Of all the weight loss programs I have tried, only one works. 'Eat less and exercise more!'
