Hi...I'm 58 years old, will be 59 in 2 days. (December 6th) I have three grown Sons and many Grandchildren. I'm married to a great guy. All is well except for my weight.
I've tried so many times that I can't count them, to get this under control. I've struggled with my weight since I was a kid.
I'm hoping I can find some friends on this site to help me through this. I would be happy to be there for anyone else who's struggling as well. Just looking for support and willing to give it.

Looking for a buddy!
I'm new here and I must say, this is the best site I've found on line. It's very user friendly.
I'm 58, almost 59 years old and have fought the weight gremlin all of my life. I admit, I'm addicted to food. Could really use a buddy and some support, and I'm willing to give as much as I get, so please help.

Hi...I totally know where you're coming from. I've been struggling with the exact same thing for years. I've been on so many yoyo diets that my string is frazzled and ready to break!!! I don't think my addiction is carbs, however, as Draglist suggested. My problem is that I LOVE the taste of food! I just can't get enough. It's the TASTE I'm addicted to. How do you combat that? It is just like an alcoholic, but with food, you can't go cold turkey. I know your struggle and I feel your pain, because I'm right there in the same boat with you. Maybe we could buddy up and set some challenges for us to do. If we make starting a new lifestyle more like a fun game, perhaps we'll stick with it as long as we have each other for support. Whataya say?
