I've neglected to keep up with my diet calendar this past week, it seems. Today I hope to resume recording what I eat. It really helps me to do that. My car a/c broke so I've been without a car because it's getting repaired. It's actually repaired but I'm waiting for funds to be deposited into my bank acct so I can pay to go get my car back. As a result of not having my car, I have been staying at my boyfriend's apt. I don't mind staying there from time to time but staying there for several days consecutively gets on my nerves because I have MY food here at my place. Gosh, I can't wait to get my car back.
I'm still not exercising. I suck.

I marinaded a rib-eye today and cooked it for my son's dinner. I'm relieved that he ate the whole thing because I sure was planning on eating what he didn't! I did taste it, though. It came out very flavorful and tender. Yeah. I'm so glad he ate the whole thing. I made another pot of red beans. I'm glad that I enjoy beans. I especially like the way I cook them. That's what I will be eating for the next several days. That's nothing new.
Well, I think I will take my nephew to the swimming pool for a little while. I can see he is really getting on my brother's nerves.

I haven't done any exercise today but I'm watching a great movie titled
I Could Never Be Your Woman
starring Michelle Pheiffer. Very cute movie...
Anyway, since I didn't go to work I didn't force myself to eat breakfast. Bad, I know, but whatever. So, at about noon I felt like I wanted to eat. I planned to hit the kitchen for whatever was in there. These next 17 days will be tight for me financially so I have to force myself to eat all of what I have in the kitchen before going grocery shopping again. Well, when I opened the fridge I discovered that my "mostly vegetarian" daughter brought home pork ribs from work. She works in a little grocery store. She said that yesterday they (the store) were bbq'ing and selling the cooked ribs. One customer forgot her ribs and never came back for them. At the end of the evening when the store closed she didn't want to throw the ribs away so she brought them home last night.
I ate 4 of them. They were most excelente, a great compliment to the tomato and onion that I cut and ate with them.
Tonight I shall cook another pot of red beans and steam some rice. I got them soaking right now. I love beans, especially red beans.
I was going to defrost some ribeye that my brother gave me but since I indulged at lunch I'll postpone eating ribeye.

I guess my weigh loss will be very very slow because I am not SEVERELY limiting my caloric intake and I don't exercise regularly. But I am eating quite healthily and no longer weigh what I did when I started which wasn't that long again anyway. I really need to cut back more on the alcohol. I drink at least once per week, usually twice. Today, I plan on going to lunch with a coworker to a pizza restaurant that he wants to try. I'm making sure to eating a hearty serving of oatmeal and yogurt right now so I'm not famished at lunch. Hopefully, this will prevent from overeating at lunch. It's really easy for me to overeat if the pizza is good.
