VERY slow weight loss!
As far as the low protein comment, I never was cutting back on my protein because I didn't think I had to but feel that I need to try something different to speed up my weight loss. I feel like I've tried everything else at this point...

VERY slow weight loss!
I'm 46 years old and I can tell you that for absolute certain, "calories in calories out" does NOT work for me. There were some days when I would work off almost as many calories as I ate, in a given day and just because I was eating too many carbs, I would not lose anything or maybe even gain. Everyone is different and if calories in, calories out worked so well - there wouldn't be countless people joining gyms and following points on weight watchers and STILL not losing any weight.

VERY slow weight loss!
For those of you staying under 20 carbs a day. Are they actually net carbs? It seems like even the low carb vegetables are pretty high in carbs. I can't imagine gaining weight by eating broccoli all day. Something doesn't seem right with that.... I just tracked my breakfast (2 eggs, 1/2 cup broccoli, 2 tbl parm cheese and 1/2 avacodo, coffee with 1 packet of truvia and 1 tsp coffee mate) and I'm already at 14 carbs! If I'm supposed to be cutting back on protein, what else is there to eat more of? It seems like vegetables aren't even the answer! I've been doing this very strictly for a full year and losing extremely slow. I'm trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong, by starting to track my food. Any suggestions? I literally haven't touched a piece of bread, pasta, rice, potato, high carb veggies, ANY fruit or anything processed or with sugar. Not one time! I'm very strict and have no intention of stopping this WOE (besides the slow weight loss, I do feel great). Willpower isn't a problem at all, I'm just desperately trying to figure this out! Any help from someone in a similar situation would be greatly appreciated or even a sample menu.
