My name is Lisa and I am 27 years old. I have a 3 year old named Seth who is the center of my universe. I wasn't always overweight - my weight gain started somewhere around puberty. I was always bigger than my other friends, but not by much.

For a few years I was able to maintain the same weight - that was until I got pregnant with my son in 2006 and gained 75 lbs. The first few months after I had my son I lost about half of the baby weight then I quit losing. Within the last year I have put it all back on (and then some) and now I weigh what I did when I was 9 months pregnant. I am doing Weight Watchers on my own to try and get back to what I weighed before I had my son.

I have friends and family doing it along with me for moral support (and for their own benefit as well). I know with the support of my friends and family (and hopefully here) I will be able to make my goal and possibly more.

obsessed with food.
You're not alone bouncy k - I'm the same way. Thinking about food all the time. It makes it really hard when you are trying to lose weight and eat healthy. I watch the Food Network on TV which makes it worse, or just seeing commercials on TV for fast food (McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell...) makes my mouth water. Sad, but true. Sad Try not to let it affect you. What I do is when I start thinking about food to take my mind off of it I'll start cleaning, or doing crafts, playing outside with my son. Basically anything to take my mind off of it. Just know that you're not the only one out there that feels that way.
