Hmmmm...I'm new to this. Well, not new to dieting...been there, done that...over the years (i.e. Medifast, Slimfast, Nutri System, LA Weight Loss, Healthy Inspirations)...never quite made it. The temptations of bread, pasta and chocolate always conspired to sink me! ;( Although I must admit that Healthy Inspirations probably had the most significant impact on me. I now know that unless I marry exercise and smart food choices, I will never have the success that I need to combat my high blood pressure, failing knees and the very real fears I'm having of developing Type 2 diabetes.

I'm hoping that the act of publically posting results (and backslides...I'm going to be realistic here!) will be a motivating factor in continuing what I saw this summer when I somehow managed to LOSE weight (hey, 4 pounds is four pounds) while on vacation! LOL!

So...my journey begins here...
