Belly Fat

I noticed when I started taking straight lemon juice at night before bed, it seemed to affect my waistline positively. Originally, the lemon juice was for helping me with some water retention issues I get every so often. Then last weekend, I read on yahoo that citrus fruit and vitamin c fights the absorbtion of fat into our cells. So I just googled it and

article/32462-foods-burn-belly-fat/ has similar views.
But PF is right, you can not target an area for fat loss.
That's a nice tip. I'll look into using lemon juice. Thanks for the post!

I am a 46 year old female, type 1 diabetic with gastroparesis, also called delayed gastric emptying, is a disorder that slows or stops the movement of food from the stomach to the small intestine.I have tried dieting to lose belly fat but no success...does anyone have any suggestions for a fitness/diet plan?
Hey Seven,
I suspect you may need 'professional' help and would need to see a doctor to discuss your options. However the following tips may help:
eat smaller meals and more regularly. this will help move the food faster
avoid foods high in fibre, these will slow down the emptying of your stomach even more
focus more on liquid diets such as soups etc. these will pass through quicker than solids
have you main meals earlier in the day (esp. solids)
and do not lie down until about 5 hours after a meal. lying down again slows the emptying of your stomach.
Hope all the above has been helpful. Remember if you suffer any adverse effects to stop and see a doctor
