Well, I have re-committed to losing weight and I have been doing very good. I am back on Atkins since Monday and I can already tell a difference in my face! I can see my cheekbones again. lol
I am a little concerned though as I had to have my gallbladder removed and hope that starting back on Atkins doesnt cause havoc on my digestive system. Reason is, your gallbladder is what helps your body to break down the fat by producing the bile necessary for it. Since I dont have one...what happens to the fat from my food??? Asked my instructor and she is going to get back to me. Sigh.
I started mentoring a young lady in my class again. This one has always had weight issues and was considering getting the lap band. For now she is going to try this and after 3 months see if she is going to still have the surgery.

I have been avoiding the scale like the plague lately. I absolutely refuse to step onto it. Why you ask?....well, because I have been eating carbs. Not crazy, not over indulging, but just a measured portion. I dont notice a dramatic change in my body as far as weight gain..that's true, but I do think that a minimal amount of the weight did creep back on. I just dont know how much.

I think i will hop on the scale on Friday, just to kinda get a gauge as to where I am and I will log my weight then.
I have no excuses. Just life and being broke and not being able to go shopping the way I would like to. Money has been very tight over the last several months and i have had to survive off of what we had in the house. Unfortunately I cant put salad on my pantry shelf and expect it to be there 3 months later. lol That would be cool, quick...someone invent that!

Hello again Fat Secret. lol Took a bit of a break from here because nursing pharmacology class is kicking my butt. I am consumed with homework and study time that I dont have any time for anything else, BUT school!
I have changed the way I am eating though. My stomach was rebelling due to all the protein and fat that I was consuming to where it was literally tender to the touch. I have started adding beneficial grains. No wheat, but oats. Its amazing that just within a few days the tenderness went away and I feel so much better and the best part....STILL LOSING WEIGHT! I was afraid that I would slowly start to gain weight back, but it has been the opposite for me. I dropped a pant size and lost inches and pounds.
I am really enjoying that I have more options, but havent completely abandoned what I have learned over the past few months.
