I'm 31, now and still married! We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary earlier this year. And I’m mother to very clever 9 yr old, and a very busy 1yr old!I’ve now been with my current Job for almost 3 and a half years. Administrative assistant, and I really enjoy the people that I work with.

I was once very active on this site, but decided to start fresh and create a new account (this was a few years ago. Lol) . Though I think I'll still reference my old one now and again, Had some Great Meal plans on there. :)

I'm here to log my meals for the most part, and Journal. I'm a big believer in Journaling the ups and down, leaving/receiving supportive comments, and getting/receiving advice and tips from everyone.

Started out at 328 pounds. But I’ve had some ups and downs the last few years, including having a 2nd daughter in 2017. And I have my measurements in the first journal here. I want to get down to 199 in the long run. But for now I'm concentrating on making healthier choices every day and taking my life in a better direction on meal and snack at a time. :)

I'm not following any specific diet plan. Just counting my calories, portion control. I also keep an eye on my sodium intake as well and try not to go over 2300mg a day. I only drink water, and plenty of it, so I never log it in my food journal. I struggle with sweets and have been stocking my house with healthier alternatives.

I enjoying walking and at one point really enjoyed jogging. If I can fit in walking to my busy work week, that would be great. Currently that is not an option, but hopefully soon. I’ll also start the process for leveling an area of my backyard and installing a 22ft above ground pool!!

I'm looking forward to being healthy and fit! And will be taking it just one day at a time. One choice at a time.

What is Your Favorite Cauliflower Recipes
I can honestly say I have never eaten cauliflower and have shied away from it for a looooooong time. So I am trying something new and wondering what is the tastiest recipes?? I've seen it used as a substitute for mash potatoes and oven roasted. If anyone has any tweeks, or seasonings, tips for someone new to cauliflower let me know. Smile I'll be googling for more recipes I'm sure, but it's always good to ask people who already know. ^_^

Normal to be hungry at start of diet?
You probably should have a light snack beyween meals. This is my usual meal schedule: up at 5, breakfast at 7ish, snack at 10ish, lunch at 12ish, snack at 3ish, dinner around 5ish, bed between 8-10. Eating every few hours seems to help from feeling lime I'm starving. Also gradually made healthy changes to what I was eating for about 2 weeks, then decreased the portion size to what it should be. Wasn't so shocking to my system. Smile And if my stomach gets growl I have almonds or fruit or something to help with it.

Balancing Protein and Calories
Greek yogurt is one of my favorite for high protein. I get the 0% plain, and mix sweetener into in, usually add some fruit, old fashioned oats, and/or almonds too. I also have a 100 calorie protein shake that I drink some days EAS AdvantEdge, it's already mixed and ready to go, comes in a 4 pack. Tuna in water (drained) with a serving of whole grain tortilla is also good. ^.^
