I am a mum of 4 children living in Las Vegas. My husband Jim is in the Airforce and we have been stationed here in Vegas for almost 4 years.
I am originally from the UK and my husband is from Texas. We have two boys ages, 14 and 10 and two girls ages 5 and 3. I have never really dieted before but I'm in this for the long haul, it's time to lose all this baby weight which has hung around since I got pg with my eldest child 14 years ago!

Alcohol
According to Atkins alcohol carb counter, the plain version of Bacardi Rum has zero carbs, add diet coke and you're good to go Smile I drink it all the time, well not all the time as I'd be quite the drunk, but when I do drink, this is my tipple Laughing

Low carb and hair loss??
Just curious if any low carbers here have experienced hair loss while eating low carb? I'm just a tad bit concerned about my luscious locks Laughing I still have bunch of weight to lose but I'm kinda partial to my hair Laughing Any comments/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smile

Fiber Supplements
Karen, I take metamucil capsules 4 a day, I'm still not as regular as before low carb but definately more so since starting the metamucil. You can take between 2 and 6 depending on how your body works. Also ground flaxseed is an excellent fiber sorce, added to protein shakes and salads and of course the obvious, as much vegies as your carb count allows, I eat lots of spinach and broccoli and then drink a river load of water Laughing

Flax seed
My diet is low carb too and I use flax seed daily. I use it for the anti-cancer properties and with the low carb diet any help in the "regularity" department is a plus Exclamation I sprinkle it on my salad and use the ground flax in protein shakes Smile
