following: P90X - Nutrition Plan
I am a wife and mother of 3 amazing boys. I had gained weight with my children and hadn't lost my baby weight. Now that my youngest is 9, I don't think that I can still call it baby weight. What happened and why has it been so hard to get the weight off. I stay at home and educate my children...no we don't live in the sticks and all my kids aren't named Bubba. We work hard and at times it can be overwhelming and stressful for me. I know that when I "stress" I have liked to munch. Being home where there is constant access to food and not having to get out and do much physical activity have been two obstacles that haven't helped.
About 4 months ago my husband informed me that he wanted to try this thing he saw on TV. P90X. Woo hoo, (sarcasm) he wants me to add one more thing to my, already stressed out, schedule. So, at the beginning of the school year we started P90X. I gave him my disclaimer: "Honey, I will complain and not like you, but I will do it." So until November 24th we faithfully did our P90X workouts and I did my best each time. I found I loved the results. I went from a snug size 16 to a size 10 and went from 174 to 152. Wow...I would have never dreamed that I could have accomplished that. I think that the biggest loss came from loosing the doubts and fears of failing that always kept me from really trying. I have gained confidence and also the freedom of realizing that as long as I do my best, that is all that is required. No more unrealistic expectations.
Now that I have lost 15 years worth of weight, I want to see what the next three months will bring.
My advise? Press "Play" each day. (You can do anything for 90 days. Forget your fears and doubts and just do your best...and that is good enough.
