I go to college full-time & work part-time. I've always been a healthy eater, but with being so busy, I kind of put what I was eating on the back burner. In turn I've put on about 15 pounds in the past 2 years. At 5'2", I'm still at a healthy weight (119), but I'd like to get back to what I weighed in high school (105-108). I chose to go on the South Beach Diet, because I went on it a few years ago to loose a few pounds, and not only did I lose it quickly (and from my stomach first), but I also had so much energy. Another great thing about this diet is that after a few days you feel so full that you almost feel like you have to force yourself to eat (In other words, all cravings for sweets & carbs are gone). Yes, I am on a diet, but I want this to be more of a lifestyle change and continue my healthy eating habits & exercise. So far it's going great, and in my first week I've lost 4.5 pounds. I would recommend this diet to anyone trying to lose any amount of weight. I'm always here for advice, support, & I also have come up with some great Phase 1 recipes! :)
