My name is Gary and I live in central Wisconsin with my wonderful wife and our dog, Mulligan. Back in high school, I was the 100-lb weakling. During the many years since, I've certainly put more weight on and felt I looked and felt my best at about 140-145. Weight has not been a serious issue - I've been up to 163 and recently have hovered around the 150-155 mark. My Dad has diabetes, I have a brother that is borderline (and overweight) and my grandfather on my Mom's side was diabetic. I don't want to go there and will do what I can to stay fit and avoid any medical or physical difficulties associated with too much weight. I want to be fit, feel fit and be around to enjoy life with my wife who is 10-years younger than me, especially as I approach retirement in a few years. This site and stories/experiences of members are a real incentive to get healthy and stay healthy.
