I actually joined Fatsecret on 5/15/11. When I first started dieting, I was doing Weight Watchers on my own. After joining this site I changed to counting calories using the RDI where you keep track of the food you eat. I had another sign on and changed from Weight Watchers to Calorie Counting and I didn't like how it started me all over on my weight loss graph. The graph really keeps me motivated. I contacted Fatsecret and they couldn't change me back so I had to make a new account. So here I am. I entered all of my historical weights. Then I was motivated again. I remember thinking I can't wait until I hit the 20lb weight loss mark, then 30lbs, then 40lbs and now I'm over the 50lb mark. You have to keep track of everything you eat because you will be surprised how fast your calories add up. Weight yourself every week. Get a full lenght mirror and put it in your bathroom where you see yourself every day. I started a cheat meal each week and make it the only time that I drink alcohol. Even with a cheat meal and a few drinks I am shocked how fast the calories add up. My best advice is don't be in denial. Keep track of everything and don't miss weigh ins. I like to eat a big dinner so I save most of my calories for dinner so don't feel like you have to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. It's all about calories.
