Im an American living in Scotland in the UK. Love it here no plans to return permanently to the US. I suffer from crohns disease which helps me keep most of my weight off but want to shed the last 30lbs or so. Im curvy and I like that and dont and have never wanted to be a size 10 or below. I have a wonderful man in my life who is very supportive of me and loves me for me. I love to travel, cook, read books. I have no children.

Not exactly dieting but changing they way I think about food
Since I was 12 I have been on diet after diet, fad ones, crash ones, caloric, fat reducing, heart healthy, vegetarian. etc etc.

But the best way for me to loose is to think about food as fuel. Something to be eaten in moderation. You can still enjoy it, relish it but its all about portion size and control.

This is also includes calorie counting but if you portion control you can get away with not counting them in some cases. The totalling up your calories is a way to give you the control you need yet the portion control gives you a slight bit of freedom when needed. ie. when eating in restaurants or out with friends.

In using portion control a good rule of thumb is eat half of what you would normally eat. This of course all is what works for me...

Sharing though might help others to do well...
