I have never been thin but it wasn't until after college that I really started packing on the pounds. I've tried many different diet plans and I have had some success in losing weight but I always gain it back and then some. My feeling is that dieting is only treating the symptom of the root problem. The question I never answered until now is, "Why do I overeat in the first place?" I have been seeing a counselor for about 3 months for an unrelated issue but in that process I discovered what I think will be the key to my sustainable success in becoming a more healthy, happy person.
