Opinion on Evox Lean Pro Diet Meal Shake and Herbalife formula 1
Actually meal replacement shakes have carbs in them for a reason. They are a balanced meal. Without the carbs they would be simply a protein shake. Generally you will find more carbs and a little less protein in a meal replacement shake and you will find little carbs and much more protin (24g or so) in a protein shake.
Both serve a purpose in good nutrition as well as in exercise recovery.

In the case of Herbalife Formula 1 meal replacement shakes, they have 9g of protein and 13g of carbohydrates. If you use milk as your liquid, you pick up another 12g of carbohydrates and 8g of protein. That is why most of us use water for our shake liquid and then personalize it with additional protein drink mix.

If you mix Herbalife Formula 1 with water and add 2 scoops of their Protein Drink Mix for your meal replacement shake you end up with 200 calories, of which 18% is good fat (4g), 36% is carbohydrate (18g) and 48% is protein (24g.)

For those trying to lose weight we suggest you replace 2 meals a day (as mentioned) and that your third meal is a well balanced colorful meal. BUT we also suggest that you have 2 snacks a day so that your are eating every few hours throughout the day (having some form of protein and some complex carb at each snack - 100 calories or so)

For exercise recovery we have protein shakes (non meal replacement)referred to as the Herbalife 24 products - they contain whey and casein protein, which support both quick and long term muscle recovery.

It really all has to do with good nutrition (80%) and activity (20%) an attitude (100%). Sometimes we do a little too much thinking. Decide what you want to change and take steps (out of what was your normal habit) and make the changes. It ALL works if you do

Sugar
Try eating something every 3 to 3.5 hours and always eat some form of protein each time along with complex carbs (fruits, veggies, grains)

If you skip meals or go too long between meals or snacks your blood sugar will go below normal range - that will trigger almost uncontrollable sweets and junk food cravings - which will cause your blood sugar to go too high and you will be on a roller coaster all day. Breakfast within 45 mins of waking up - add mid morning and mid afternoon snack between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. No cookies, chips or junk - fruit, cheese, yogurt, hard boiled egg - stuff like that for snacks - you'll probably feel a lot better
