I am a 31 year old woman, who's trying to get off the weight that's gathered since I got married and had my daughter. My weight before getting married in 2002 was 135 and I reached my heaviest in 2009 before I gave birth at 214. Of course some of that weight came off naturally but I end up settling at 188 and there's where my war with my body offically began...
I've tried several things to get the weight off, starting with Curves, then calorie counting, just getting up and doing something. Everything's worked a little. Discovered rock climbing and hiking, which I both like. However the thing that's helped the most is going low carb. This last year (2011) I discovered the movie Fat Head, which started me on low carb. I went Atkins, then moved over to a Primal Blueprint/Paleo lifestyle, except I still do dairy. I feel great, my health issues and blood sugar that have plagued me are resolving and best of all, my weight is back in the range is use to be before I got married. Unfortunately, I have a little more to lose to get back in my old jeans, so that's my new goal now. :)
