I am a 54 years old teacher. I teach children with learning disabilities and mental handicaps in sunny south Florida. I have struggled with my weight since I was young. It was only about a 20 pound problem which I was able to take off (and regain) quite regularly. In my early 40's it became a 60 pound problem. I had ballooned up to 180+. I was miserable. I found a diet club and within 6 months lost 60+ pounds. I have to say that I have kept the bulk of it off but still yo-yo back and forth 20 pounds. I used to love exercising but now I am very unmotivated. I hope to make this weight loss permanent.

Help - motivation needed
You are the reason to lose weight. I think many of us had those feelings -- I know I sure did. Just take one step at a time. Set small goals and celebrate your achievements. Writing down what you eat is a real eye opener. Good luck and keep writing and asking.

THE SB DIET - Not a Low Carb or No Carb Diet
What a great post. I just finished phase 1 and I am on to phase 2. Just yesterday I did have a piece of cake and I did not go crazy and just continue eating. By reading the post I know that I did not go off the "diet". I lent my book to someone many years ago and never got it back. I didn't feel like buying another one so all the info you included steered me in the right direction. Thanks.

The one mess up.....
That is my biggest downfall too and it can last for weeks at a time. I am trying to count calories this time around and keep it between 1200 - 1500 depending on exercise level. Then I really don't mess up too much. I just count the calories because nothing is forbidden. I am more aware to the portion and then I didn't mess up. I have only been doing this for a little more than a week so I really don't know if it is going to work but for now it is. You always have the extra 35 points on ww so just count the points on move on Ha, ha easier said than done.
