I am 54 years old and I have struggled with my weight for the past 25 years. I hit my heaviest weight at 199 pounds in December 2007. I have made a commitment to eat healthy and get body in better condition.
I am a RN and work in a small hospital based CHF outpatient clinic. I remarried about 6 years ago and have a very loving and supportive husband. I have two grown children. As ironic as it is, while I'm short (5'4") & stocky my daughter is tall and very slender. She is underweight and even tried to gain weight for her wedding! (Can you imagine having that worry?!!) She is healthy but has been underweight her whole life. I often wonder how this body of mine ever birthed such a skinny little thing! :-)
My first goal was 185 pounds which I met 2/27/08. My next goal is 170. I was close to this goal in June 2008 but got off tract so I'm still working on reaching it. My ultimate goal is about 150 pounds. I may have to take baby steps to get there, but I will succeed!
