Have you tried flavoring the water? Adding lemon to your water is common and gives a nice tast. My favorites are cucumber, ginger or mint. Also you can add a sweet fruit, like a couple of orange slices. Juice/pop have a lot of sugar so for a while you’ll crave that sugar. Hang in there! You can do it!

Has anyone heard of the CLA Safflower supplement? It was on Shark Tank and all of the investors bought in. I went to their website but they don't list the ingredients so that's a no-no for me. As grandma used say "sounds like to much sugar for a dime". The website does mention that you have to keep taking the supplement in order to keep the weight off. I'll wait and see how others are affected, but sure hope it's the real deal. Eventually the ingredient list will come out, I hope. That would make it fabulously easy to lose weight!

Hi ladies
Anyone up for setting a personal goal for Presidents Day? We can check in with each other & share progress: meals, exercise, mood, whatever and encourage each other. Any takers?

I got that flu/cold thing Christmas Day which lasted 10 days, got better then had a relapse. I had no appetite and lost 6 pounds! Now my personal goal is to lose 5 pounds by Presidents Day.

I'm similar Wilpena - read ingredients religiously, cut out sugar and processed foods but love almonds to death and eat them by the handful! I'll join you on this journey. Oh my other weakness: tortilla chips, and I saved money but gained calories buying the huge bag from Costco!! (See food, eat food ... oh yeah) I got the same advise Peggy had: 1000 calories is waay too low, glad you've upped your intake!
