I'm big heavy cyclist who wants to ride up steep hills!

Power to weight ratio is the key so loose weight and do more training to increase power. I'm doing a low carb eating plan which seems to be working so long as you steer clear of carbohydrate!

I travel a bit for work which adds a complication, lots of temptation particularly when I'm travelling with work mates who like a beer :(

Head strong = legs strong !

It really works off the pounds, makes you fitter, saves a shed load of petrol costs. After a while you'll get to liking it, expecially when you see the effect its having on your body shape Smile

Power to weight ratio
My main goal is to optimise my power to weight ratio.

I'm a cyclist, and ride in the lake district where there are loads of steep hills Cool So power to weight is really important. This site really hits the mark, it's brilliant for motivation, and tracking the macro-neutrient balance.

I started with a very low carb plan which stripped the pounds off amazingly quickly. I'm now re-balancing to ensure I get enough protein (1g per lb body weight) and keep energy levels high at ~ 70 - 80% RDI. Without this site I'd be flying blind.
