Goal Weight:230.0 lb
following: Number cruncher
performance: gaining 8.8 lb a week

About me:

I am a 43 year male from Toronto, Canada (actually a Dutch import..) and I no longer smoked on February 28, 2008. To compensate for potential weight gain I put myself on a stringent training and food regiment.

Initially I gained from 240 to 250, which was probably due to heavier muscle tissue. I certainly have gone back to size 36 waist and look so much better already.

Once I hit 230 I will look good for my frame and length (6.1); the weird thing is that if I were to weigh in at 190 (guideline) I would look like I had been starving. I may go for 210 if getting to 230 is fairly doable.

I am by no means suggesting this is all that easy, but I am forcing myself to accept that it is really all about lifestyle changes.

About how I want to achieve my goal:

I will not let dieting get me down so my “diet” is based on 2 base principles:
1/ burn more than you can eat (goal is 500-1000 cals a day)
2/ stay under 2500-3000 mg of Sodium a day

In addition I strive to follow the following guidelines:

3/ keep the Cholesterol intake under 375 mg
4/ keep the Fat (total lipids) intake below 81
5/ keep the Sugar intake under 60
* Note that these values are based on a large frame male person (me specifically).

I slacked for a month or so (September), am paying the price and will be back in the saddle, real soon.

PS: The picture is me chasing squirrels this August.

TheDailyPlate.com Teams Up with Livestrong.com
I can confirm that FS does indeed automatically calculate net calories, based on diet and exercize calendars.

Bacon??
I find this high. According to Nutrition data you come to 123.

What FS returns seems to be some pretty big slices.. If you look at the weight per serving you would probably be OK if you take 1/2 of a medium FS slice as the norm.

Of course the only real way to know for sure is to weigh the food Evil or Very Mad
