Hi Alison here, I recently moved to Florida and because of that move gave up my career/job of 10 years, and find myself constantly bored!

I have found since moving here in July/09 that I am cooking to fill my boredom. I LOVE to cook, and its something I did not get to do very often when I had a career! But since I am not working I am finding that is all is do and of course if you cook it - ya gotta eat it right?

Well this has unfortunately now added 10lbs to my middle section. My tummy is having a mid-driff crisis! lol

So my goal is ten lbs (hopefully in 8 weeks or less), Oh and did I mention that Iv also decided to quite smoking - which is NOT helping with the eatting at all!.

I really want to get in shape, lose the 10 lbs, get more fit etc. I hope I can do it!

For all the newbies!
Thanks Karen for the good info. This is my first real'diet/me' program attempt. I am also quitting smoking at the sme time. The last i tried to quit, I gained 15 lbs. Now I still have 10 left even after going back to smoking for 9 months. I don;t want to keep smoking, but I don't want to gain a bunch of weight either. So I figured if I did this hand in hand, it would make me more aware of what im doing - with food.
