41 year mother of a 4 year old and 2 year old. Struggled with my weight most of my adult life but especially after having kids. This past year working out in the morning has helped me get to 145lbs from 185 lbs. planning by the end of April to finally hit my goal (128lbs)! Hubby bought me p90x3 to change things up and help me stay motivated. Today is day 1 (jan21,2014)!

Atkins/Ketogenic Diet's and Exercise
Of course you can exercise. If you are finding yourself lacking energy during workouts you may want to up your grams of carbs (unrefined natural vegetables or low glycemic fruit). I would run out of steam if I ate anything less than 50g. Now I can still have around 100 but I do not eat refined carb and can keep my calories around 1800 to lose weight. If I don't exercise those numbers don't work for me and I have to adjust carb intake.

Are you exercising? I know it can be uncomfortable while breast feeding (I used to put on two sports bras). Nursing requires you to keep your calories up but take a look at the nutrient density of your calories

how do u get past the cravings??
Sometimes a cup of herbal tea works at night for me.

If hunger is an issue because I didn't eat enough at dinner I only ever have a whey isolate shake at night time...no food. It fills you up fast and keeps cravings down.
