My name is Alexis, i am 20 years old. I used to think i needed to lose more weight than i actually did. So i tried several diets including the HCG Diet. However it wasnt a life style diet and i thought I needed to lose more than needed so I gained that back. I have never been one to be overweight, however I've always wanted to lose a little fat. After years of thinking I needed to lose weight I now accept my body because no ones the same, and realize I am healthy and happy..
I'm glad I've come to the realization that I am fine! It took me quite some time to be totally happy with myself, so after all that i gave dieting up (realizing I DONT NEED TO!) and started eating what I want making me happy! Including healthy foods and things i love all in moderation and I'm actually losing weight now! Not fast.. Just slowly...but slowly is the healthy way ensuring it will stay off. And it all made me realize you need to be happy with yourself to get anywhere! So I started at 147-150 (fluctuating) and I'm now at 140-142! I think I'm starting to stay here which is ok with me. Wouldn't mind losing 5 more lbs but if I dont I'm ok with that too!
So life lesson: you need to accept yourself first for who you are before you can go anywhere, and to lose and keep it off you NEED to make it a lifestyle. Give your body what IT wants...it will be happy and reward you. When you deprive yourself of things you want your body will only want it more and that will only build up!
