Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bobbie, I'm 44 years old, began IP last Thursday, 4/19 and my initial weight was 214. My goal weight is 150; The first four days were very hard for me, but once I got past the first couple of days it did get a little easier.

I decided to try IP because my 65 year old boss lost from size 16 to an 8 and she looks fantastic and she did it on IP. I have tried every diet under the sun and am sick of yo-yo'ing, so I am determined to stick this out and make it work. I need to feel good again!

Hello! I am just starting the IP diet on Monday. This is day four for me and I'm already down 6lbs! I'm sure some may be water weight, but whatever keeps me motivated! I was just looking to find some people that are also going through this for a little support! I looked around and had no one to share the excitement with! No one else cares, because of course they think, oh here we go again, another fad diet you're trying. Whatever. lol Good luck to you!

Welcome to Ideal Protein! I've been on the program since Jan and lost 52.5lbs so far, about 60-70 more to go. I don't get on this site's forums too much but if you are looking for lots of activity, try 3 Fat Chicks and the Ideal Protein forum there.

There are several reasons for this but by making simple adjustments in your workout and diet you will soon be on your way to seeing 6 pack abs.

Fast ab workouts that include 100 different styles of crunches are very ineffective for burning fat. The abdominal muscle is a small muscle group and when it is isolated it doesn't require a lot of effort to contract the abs. You can work on toning abdominal muscles while working your whole body and getting a better fat burning workout by adding the right exercises. A stability ball offers several variations of exercises that require not only more core muscles but also stabilizing muscles like your arms and chest.
