My original goal was to lose 50 pounds for my 50th birthday. So far I am struggling to lose 10 but I have a new determination, and a new goal (60 pounds) but I just consider that to be the new fifty.Laughing

I lost 7 lbs. in three months. Some would say that's all. I say great!
At my age I am not in a hurry to lose pounds. Besides slower in this case is better because there is a higher probability of keeping it off. I say "nice and easy does it."

I agree; I am working for healthy eating habits that I can keep - nothing to crazy or restrictive, but I am logging everything I eat and making a conscious effort to exercise, and to cut out the night time snacking! My original goal back in February was a pound a week. I lost ten but gained back four and then seven after surgery in April. I am just thrilled that the scale is (finally) heading back down in the right direction!

Amen, Becky. Since my last surgery I am also finding it really hard to lose. No weight loss this week despite reduced calories and no snacking. 5 years ago when I did the curves diet I had lost 8 pounds like this. -Chris

I am new too. I am in the same boat as all of you. Tried every diet and even had the help of my doctor and still no weight loss. I go up and down all the time. I just want it to keep going down. I swim for exercise so not to hurt my back because we are taking our son on a trip for his graduation from college. Exercising is hard to do but I do a little at a time. I will never give up. I feel if I stop moving my bones and muscles will lock up. I lost 50lbs years ago on Atkins but this time it is not working as well. Hopefully it will kick in soon.
