After all these years of struggling with my weight I have finally learned why its been so hard for me to lose.
If you have not yet done so, read the book "Master Your Metabolism" by Jillian Michaels. She is the trainer from the Biggest Loser show. I could not put this book down - everything that she writes about in here hit home with me and since I have started to follow her recommendations, the pounds are coming off!
It was about my hormones - they were simply out of whack and not working they way they needed to be. She explains what foods to eat and when as well as educating you about your hormones and how they work. Basically, what the book comes down to is eating organic foods, but for those with a tight budget, she also lists which foods are a must organic and which ones you can let slide.
I have learned so much and will never ever go back to some of the foods I was eating. Food manufacturers care more about getting your money than keeping you health...and after reading this book you will not believe how you could have been eating some of the foods you have. So enlightening!
