I went to a diet doctor that used a low card diet with his patients a few years ago. You had to eat 10 oz of protein a day: no more than 3 oz could come from high fat meats, no more than 4 oz could come from cheese. You also had to eat low glycemic vegs or fruits each day. 4 half cup servings of chopped non starchy vegetables, 2 of the servings could be berries, apple, or half grapefruit.
With this you took two Cell-Press which is a cellulose tablets 45 minutes before a meal. You drink a lot of water with it and it is like fiber filling your stomach. We also took calcium pyruvate at 10am and 2pm. That is something that is found in red wine and apples. People had great success with his program. I moved out of the area before I got to the pre-maintenance phase. I am doing Atkins now and I dont have as many cravings.
