This weekend was not me at my finest.
On Friday, doc told DH that he has migraines with vertigo. He has always had headaches, but recently gotten a lot worse. Now they are daily and the vertigo causes nausea. The meds they gave him on Friday seemed to make things worse.
Saw a different doctor yesterday. 4 new meds make him seem high. They make him tired, but unable to sleep too. His boss is not being very understanding. I suggested he call HR and see what his options are. He works for a Fortune 15 company, in the medical field, so they should have something in place...
Anyway, he was in severe pain all weekend, making him cranky and kept lashing out at me. Plus it was super cold, so got very little exercise. Between the stress and lack of exercise, I've gained 5 pounds since last week. I was drinking a lot of diet soda though, so I'm hoping at least some of it is just water weight from all the sodium.
Yesterday, my 19-year-old, who lives with her dad, took a "bunch" of pills and ended up in the emergency room. We're not at all sure she actually took anything. She was fighting with her dad and I think maybe she was just trying to punish him. This is the second time she had done this. But he called 911, so after they determined at the emergency room that she was not in any immediate attention, she was transferred to the psych ward. I have to go pick her up later, meet with the pdoc, then go pick up her meds and take her back to her dads.
Anyway... I know I'll get through it, but it was rough. I ordered an aerobic step that will arrive today, that will help me with getting more exercise when the weather is bad and I can't walk outside. And after today it is supposed to warm up into the 20s, so I will be able to walk outside again for a while.
One good thing... while at the hospital, which is not far from our house, it dawned on me that when the weather is bad, I could go there and walk the halls. It isn't something I could do several times a day, like walking around the block (1/2 mile trip) but still, another option!
I hope we all have a fabulous week!
Ever shrinking!
