Group Forum: Need motivation

Hi. I started working a year ago, after being a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. Just starting to work took some weight off and I decided to actually try to lose. I've been pretty successful, but I need "work out" buddies. I really have to force myself to exercise and I'm hoping that joining a group will help me out! Thanks.

hi jana. i have been working all my life, but i did get complacent. my weight just crept on slowly over the years although i was always pretty active. but i guess i forgot about portion size & didn't account for the extra glass of wine here & there. this place made me realize where i went wrong. so good luck, u know u will get there Smile, add me as a buddy if u like.

Your story sounds like mine Schmet. I stay pretty active but the weight keeps slowly creeping up on me. After 40 things really change. But I'm realizing that keeping track of my calories allow me to eat what I want but not take in more calories than my body burns naturally. I was having success until deciding to stop keeping track. I'm back on track and gonna loose this weight!Smile
