About / History

The Scarsdale Diet was written by Dr Herman Tarnower based on a diet created for overweight patients. The diet is based on a nutrient ratio of 43% protein, 22.5% fat, and 34.5% carbohydrate which Dr Tarnower claims brings about the process of ketosis.
