I cut out cold turkey the following items....and still to this day do not eat them....and eat the following instead:
All sodas, even diet
caffine...no coffee or anything
sugar in general
No sweets or junk food
No chips, crackers, etc
No pastas, not even wheat pasta
No fried foods
No Pork
No meats with a breaded crust (like shake and bake)
No fast food unless it is a salad
only Fat Free Dressings
No sweet tea
No crystal light, even though it is sugar free...the sweet taste makes me crave more sweet things
Nothing that tasted sweet that would be me the urge to crave more sweets
No salt
I look for things that are little to no sodium
I do eat whole grain wheat bread on occasion
I eat plain cream of wheat with nothing in it...
I eat lots of salads....I am learning to like veggies that I used to not eat...
For dressing I use the balsamic vinigerrette or a rasberry vinergarette, both fat free
no mayonnaise, sour cream, stuff like that...
very little cheese
I do eat chicken and turkey, but only baked or boiled or grilled
Fishes are good (flounder, tuna) but eat them plain...no butter or mayonnaise for tuna fish....
No taters (doesn't matter what kind, mashed, baked, fried, none)
Very little corn
I eat cantaloupe, bananas, apples, and an orange now and again....but watch out....fruits have a bunch of sugar....grapes have the most.
There are soy made juices that are great!
No canned food...to much sodium and other crap in them.
I eat a lot of frozen veggies....or fresh veggies and I boil them in nothing but water...I will add pepper sometimes or garlic, but that is it.
I measure my portions of food when eating anything but salads...
I drink pretty much only water all day...I will drink unsweet decaf. tea on occasion with no sweetener in it.
Here is my Exercise Program:
I try to go to the gym daily. Do a 2:1 ratio of cardio vs. weights. I keep it rotated. Do cardio then weights then cardio then weights...and so on...gives you a more intense workout.
I also will meditate if I feel like my mind is very clustered or busy. It really helps me find my center. Meditation is WONDERFUL.
