Oh yeah, I need to find Steph! Glad she is here.

Last night I managed 20 minutes on the treadmill for 1/2 mile, just wasn't feeling it. Rainy days always make me sleepy. Poured this morning, left home in the rain, had a thankful break and then just as I walked in the office the bottom fell out again. Wow!

Laurie, yes we need to chat on this. Will you be free around Noon my time?

I like the idea of trying to new whole foods! I've never eaten lentils and their are some cool fruits at the grocery I've been wanting to try. What fun.

And I am super excited - I weighed in this am and I have officially lost exactly 10 lbs since I've started!!!! I am thrilled to have said goodbye to that 10 lbs for ever and ever.

Well, I gained 3 lbs this week. Crying or Very sad
I will not worry though because I feel very bloated and I need to poop. LOL! I know I didn't eat 3 lbs of Swiss Rolls. Razz

Cathy, it's not time or distance that keeps me from seeing her. It is her very controlling stepmom. My son and granddaughter lived with me until he met her and remarried. She has 2 children that I have grown to love and they have a baby together. My grandson will be 1 on the 21st of this month and I have held him 3 times in his life. She is not a good person and has alienated him from his family but he is so blinded by love that he doesn't even see it. My dad has been in the hospital, first, and now the nursing home for almost 3 months and he hasn't visited him even once. He has no contact with my other son and I very rarely talk to him. It just makes me soooo sad.

Laurie, meds are no longer availabe in Mexico without a prescription. You can see the doctor at no charge, but you have to be sick right then.
I will join you on the snack challenge this week. Two nights of tea will be very hard, but I WILL do it!!

Denise, what a great idea to write the kids a letter. I had not thought of that. I will definitely do that. Thanks for you positive thoughts. Wink

I am ready for a new challenge. Hopefully I will be well and ready to give it my all. I can never give up!!

I sent Steph a friend request. I also logged in to BLC to see if anyone else was looking for us and Sari was. I messaged her on FB and told her where we are. She is going to join us too!!

Good Morning!

I finally made it home late last night - what a long week. Denise, how is your sis doing?
Cathy - great job! Keep it up
Laurie - I'm in on the challenge, since I think I blew last week Wink.

I will weigh in later after I fully wake up. The bf has rearranged our kitchen yet again....

Oh Sherry, I am so sorry. I was afraid that is what the situation was, but I hoped it wasn't. I haven't seen my sister or my niece in 7 years for the exact same reason - her husband is seriously controlling and turned her against the whole family. She thinks he is the sun and the moon and doesn't recognize that he takes more from her than he gives her. I agree, try letters, send audio/video tapes of you reading books etc. I would certainly HOPE they would give to the kids.

I'm taking a day off from exercise today, except that I'll be doing ab work. I'd love to have ab work in as part of the challenge this next time. Hint Hint

I was down a pound this am. Which really means I have kinda maintained. But I will take it. I have come a long way in a year. I find myself snacking on fruit! And I dont' even have to think hey - use fruit to snack on Smile Change is happening even if slowly. Super slowly, lol. In a few weeks my hrs should be cut back a bit so I can get regular on exercise. Cause if I aint regular on exercise....I aint regular Embarassed

Still craving sweets a bit more than usual, but staying good. Tea for a snack sounds good.

I agree with the letter or books that you can record for grandkids. Family stuff is tough sometimes. <3

Anne slow is great. do for you as you need to do.

Cathy
I have not had a relationship with my brother for the last 18 yrs due to his other half. If he would get his balls out of her purse and find his values he grew up with it would be good. My mom has been hurt more times than I have fingers on both hands. Sad but true......... I believe what goes around comes around and she will get hers one day.

Sherry you , Cathy & I are not alone, there are many that do not have perfect families ,actually there is no such thing as a perfect family.

my dad always called it as it was, he referred to my brother as his first name with his wife's last name, not our family last name, how true he was............

today got in the rower 7 mins and 5,504 steps of walking
food in range
emotions eh eh

drove to usa to drop off niece at airport
then drove back to usa as niece' s flight was cancelled
then brought her back to Canada
tomorrow am will try again to get her on the flight

ok sleep well,
sister is stable today........thank god

Cheers
