Running a marathon is a huge goal. But, running a marathon in *27 weeks* is aggressive... maybe impossible. But, as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Recently, while evaluating the first fifty-three years of my life, I determined to raise the bar in several areas. Weight loss and fitness are areas that affect many others - health, longevity, career, social, and personal finance are a few. So, I decided to dream big and attempt to push myself to get ready for the ultimate race of endurance: a marathon. And, since the Dallas Marathon (formerly the White Rock Marathon) is scheduled for December 9, 2012, I have set sights on preparing for that event... a tall order, I recognize.
So, this Challenge is the first of three total challenges: Challenge I is twelve weeks; Challenge II is twelve weeks; Challenge III is two weeks. I will be documenting my progress as well as the knowledge I gain along the way. And, hopefully, you will be able to share and enjoy the results of a similar challenge in your life.
