From diets like atkins to pills to extreme restiction - it has been a year since my last child was born and everytime I lose can never keep off cuz I'm not doing it the right way. I'm done with games. Move more eat less time! I have 50 lb.s to lose and need to be involved with others with the same goal so I don't go off and do something stupid like binge and purge. I am so happy to join this challenge. I need support plus would love to support others anyway I can. Let's do this the healthy "weigh". haha. Sorry, can be very corny!!!!!

Hi Gofitmom!!! I also know how it is to go to the extremes of trying to lose weight... My youngest is 10 and believe me it gets harder to lose every year because as the kids get older there is just more to do. My oldest is going to be 18 in Febuary so I figure that it's time to quit playin around with my health and do it the right way also. Good luck, I will be rooting for you!!!Very Happy

That sounds awesome gofitmom. It's quite simple, and looking at this challenge, its quite important just to try tracking your calories per day.

If your RDI is set correct, then just consider that without the introduction of exercise, you should try to consume 20% less your RDI. And by doing so, you'll be on a steady track to losing weight and it being FAT weight, rather than your Lean Mass weight (which is very important) Just keep the RDI in mind and you should be able to see good "negative" changes (which that's what you want right? - poundage). And you won't feel hungry let alone go ahead and eat bad stuff...

However if you want to be on the healthier side, especially for women, try increasing some protein intake most women just don't get enough, and once they do, they'll see their weight dropping like flies =P. Good Luck all!
