You're pretty funny Pete! I started this journey 3 months ago when a nasty accident ripped my knee apart. I had been thin and active most of my life. But over the last 10 years the pounds have been creeping on. When they weighed me before my first surgery I was shocked to see the numbers. I was at my all time high and facing four weeks of total bedrest. I started on the Atkins diet. I committed myself to changing my life immediately after that first surgery. As soon as I was allowed to get out of bed, I started strength training. My knee wasn't heeling well, so they did a second surgery (last week). I went into the second surgery 13.5 pounds down from the first. I am doing rehab now. I am supposed to be doing an exercise bike for 20-30 minutes a day. It really hurts so I've been toughing it out to 20. I have been enjoying walking (now that I can again). I've been walking for 20-60 minutes every other day. Also continuing with my strength training. I spend most of my day on a CPM (motion) machine that keeps my knee flexing (boring!). I can't wait until I can get off of this machine and start moving more.
When I can start riding my real bike, I think I'll buy a big padded seat
