I have a hard time navigating to see how the challenge members are doing. So I thought I'd just come out and ask. The gift of the challenge for me so far, is that I figured out that I was getting too many carbs from non-foundation vegetables. (mostly from dairy products!) So, I gained some valuable experience already. Yesterday, in my attempt to rectify the foundation ratio, I went slightly over on my overall net carbs. It will take me a while to readjust and undo my prior two weeks training. But I see the logic in the increase of vegetable carbs for my success. I am very grateful that I chose to join this challenge. (Thank you for setting it up, Shawna)
I am not entering my weight in the "tracker" until Monday, but I am actually just holding right now.
Have a great Friday!

I, too am just holding my 188 lbs. TOM is here so I think thats why. I also have the foundation veggies problem. I don't like most of the veggies. But I decided today, I am going for 15 NC from the veggies one way or another!! LOL! I guess it'll be my eggs this morning with some veggies, veggies for lunch, pork for dinner with veggies and veggies for snack. I figure my weightloss has halted due to one of many things (don't you hate changing everything and then when your not losing you try to figure out what made you stop losing?). Mine being:

1. Much lower calories (1000 or less a day)
2. TOM
3. Adding more exercise (building muscle perhaps?)
4. Not enough veggies

My solution? I am going to get 15 NC of veggies, up to a total of 20 with everything else (hopefully my choices will up my calories -sounds weird to do this, but everyone says to get atleast 1200 a day), and continue exercising. And we'll do this for a few days (by then TOM will be gone) and see if there are any results!

Looking back to my first 2 weeks on Induction, when I lost 12 lbs...My calories were 12-1900, NCs being 20-28, and no exercise. I know most of it was water weight...But I can really see a difference in my eating/exercising since beginning Atkins on 4/15...

Have a great Sunday Smile

I'm continuing to work on that 12 -15 g net carb veggie thing. I am going to try using the Atkins Induction Meal plan exactly as written for a few days this week. Still trying to get a feel for what a "perfect" day looks like.
