Does coffee count without sugar or milk? Question

I'd say no, only because the caffeine dehydrates you and you need that much water to make up for what you drank in coffee. That, however, is my opinion.
A fitness instructor once told me that for every drink - other than water - I was going to consume, to drink that much water prior to enjoying a difference beverage... maybe some food for thought?
