Week 1
Guidelines:
Normal, healthy weight loss is about 2lbs a week. This challenge will need a 3lb a week loss, with a pound added here and there. It is doable and still healthy, all it takes is dedication and hard work!

Weeks 1 to 2
Guidelines:
If you haven't already, figure out what diet you want to be doing and how to follow it correctly. Now we start following it to a T. From everything like eating those veggies, turning down those tempting deserts and fast foods, to drinking all the water our bodies need.
Also, begin exercising EVERYDAY. If you can only seem to find 10 min here and 10 min there, then DO IT! No more excuses. But, since this is 40lbs in 12 weeks, you better pump it up and get to working out. You CAN do it!

Weeks 3 to 4
Guidelines:
Alright, we are done laying down the ground work. Time to build up from it. If you have had any issues with your eating, you better shape it up and start eating healthy, otherwise you might not make it to our goal. Other than that keep up the good work! Now it's time to intensify our work outs. Lets add 10 minutes onto our work outs for at least 4 of the 7 days. The other 3 days try something new! Keeping our bodies guessing, and working out different muscles, will allow us to skip plateau's. You could do some calisthenics, work out videos, 20 squats in between every .25 of a mile, etc. Any change will help

Weeks 5 to 7
Guidelines:
How's your diet going? Have you been eating a lot of the same things from week to week. Well it's time to change it up! It's easy to eat the same breakfast every morning, but that is going to put us possibly at a plateau. So start finding new foods, and meals, to intertwine with what you've been eating. As far as working out goes, I hope you have a variety of muscle toning and cardio workouts that you are doing on a daily bases. If not, get to it. Also, if you are not working out 45min-1hr. every day you need to introduce that. By the end of these weeks, we want to be working out no less than an hour a day. I know it's hard, but NO excuses this time, it will be MORE than worth it in the end.

Weeks 8 to 10
Guidelines:
I know these weeks have brought many challenges your way, but don't loose heart. We will be done before you know it! If you've messed up or "fallen off track" it's ok, just hop back on. See how much you can loose. These weeks, I want us all to just continue to eat as healthy as we can with lots of water and working out diligently. Mixing up work outs and meals. Also, if you haven't already, how about we post some of the workouts that we've been doing and dieting tips to help out those that are doing this challenge with us.

Weeks 11 to 12
Guidelines:
This is it, only 2 more weeks!!!!!!! Time to give it ALL we got. As far as eating goes, check your diet and make sure that your eating still matches up with how much you've lost. And just focus and keep those temptations away. Now here comes the working out. DOUBLE EVERYTHING! Now you might not get this the first few days or week, but lets shoot to be finishing this way. What I mean is, if you've been walking/jogging 2 miles, walk for 4 miles. If you've been doing a work out video, do it twice. If you've been doing 50 squats, do 100. etc. Now I understand we have already been working out for an hour a day, so you don't have to double that, just double the work within that hour. Push harder than you've ever pushed. I mean, it's only an hour a day for two more weeks. LETS DO IT!
